Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the OTAKUWA website and any purchase you make through it. By using this site you accept them.

1. Who we are

OTAKUWA, a business established in Spain. Contact: support@otakuwa.com. Registered company name and tax identification number: [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] / [NIF-CIF].

2. Our products

We sell art books, manga, soundtracks, sheet music, home video and related goods sourced from official retailers, publishers and authorised distributors in Japan and China. Unless a listing says otherwise, items are in their original language — most Japanese editions are not translated. Read the language and format shown on each listing before ordering.

Product images are supplied by publishers and suppliers or photographed by us. Colour, finish and cover variations between print runs are normal and are not defects.

3. Prices and availability

Prices are in euros and include Spanish VAT where applicable. We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order.

Our catalogue reflects what our suppliers list. Japanese art books frequently go out of print with no warning. If an item becomes unavailable after you order it, we will tell you and refund you in full — we will not substitute a different edition without asking you first.

4. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation. We may decline an order where an item is unavailable, where there is an obvious pricing error, or where we cannot ship to your destination.

5. Age and content

Some titles carry mature content ratings applied by their Japanese publishers. Where a listing is marked as such, you confirm you are over 18 when you buy it.

6. Intellectual property

All characters, artwork and titles are the property of their respective creators, publishers and rights holders. We sell legitimately published editions of their work; we make no claim to the underlying rights, and nothing on this site implies endorsement by any publisher or studio.

The OTAKUWA name, site design and our own product photography and descriptions may not be copied without permission.

7. Your account

If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under it. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Spanish or EU law. Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here when you place your order.
