The drawings the Jujutsu Kaisen anime was made from. MAPPA’s KEY ANIMATION books collect the original key frames — the genga — drawn by the studio’s animators, before colour, effects and compositing turned them into the finished episodes.

Key animation is where the performance lives. Every expression, every impact frame, every one of Gojo’s gestures was drawn by hand here first, in pencil, with the animators’ timing notes and colour-coded shading lines still on the page. It is the closest you can get to looking over an animator’s shoulder.
